At first I was a bit against it. But, it's the only way to have any real originality with a Miata... Especially as mine's red.

I definitley want to have some chrome bits on the dash and stuff nothing too extreme though. I may even ditch the center console for that whole retro vibe. Oh and get german square weave carpet some old school chrome side mirrors....dang it I am getting nerdish!
